It was a spectacular and hilarious death. I was swimming around my underwater base and I didn’t realize I was over top of one of those sulphide fissures. It blasted my shields off. Holy crap!

Well, since I took the burn I may as well go get my crystals, right? As I collected the third crystal, I saw the fissure starting to erupt so I backed what I thought was “way off” to* the side of it.

Well, you see, I was in first person view. I typically swim around in third person. It turns out I was not as far away as I thought I was. The instant the beautiful fissure exploded, I instantly cut to black.

RIP Tangonov, first permadeath iteration. I only lost 20 hours, let’s start again.
