You could drop all and use the log function to see all traffic denied
I used/tried Ubuntu a few times -just because some solutions announce it as their supported platform- but I got tired of how they push snaps, and so I stay on Debian. Last week I went to deb13 on various machines and so far had no other task then fixing deprecated python functions in my own scripts, which isn’t abnormal. The one ‘issue’ I had was a PHP version mismatch in an apache2 config. So I’m (still) happy with Debian! And like @eugenia@lemmy.ml wrote, every 2 years (give or take) a fresh install is how I like to do it.
Good action Spain!
I don’t care anymore. It’s 30% it’s 0% it’s 10% in 3 weeks, it’s 3.1415% it’s 20%
More people and counties lost trust in- and respect for the USA. I no longer buy American and for all I care we don’t sell shit to them anymore. Trading with other countries will go up (if not it’s a win for the environment) Let’s see if the USA will manage and survive on their own.
I heard it can completely crash your system if your a noob.
You can crash anything if you try. Been there, done that. Just go ahead and start using it. Just keep backups which you always do, regardless the O/S and situation. (pro tip: TEST RESTORING THE BACKUPS)
Maybe make an extra backup before you try something and you’ll live. You could also use a separate partition to store your files so you can re-install without touching your data. Make that partition size ‘recognizable’ (t.ex. the biggest by far and label it) so you won’t mess up the partition selection when you re-install. And NO don’t ask me how I know!
install snap to run MS edit … more likely I’d install ms-dos 3.22 and run the original edit in there.
At my work all but me love microsoft. But … They started to complain about teams too. I only use the chat because it’s impossible to avoid.
