Yeah, it was one of the quicker expeditions. Mostly straightforward, but the black hole was a nice surprise.

I’m about 1/3 in, and every system has been abandoned.

I stopped farming nanites because there wasn’t much need. I don’t need to bring in my old ship because progression is focused on corvettes and you get enough parts from awards. My multitool has already got plenty of upgrades too.

So far it seems like an easy expedition.

I haven’t tried Bazzite yet, but I feel the same about the other ublue flavours.

I’m the most productive I’ve ever been. Tweaking everything was fun for a few years, but now I just need a distro I can trust, that comes with the tools to do anything.

I see rebases to Bazzite DX are available now. I might give that a go today.

I would love to see things get more active over here. It’s a pretty good community on Reddit, but the mods are way too heavy handed.

If you watch “new” when a big update drops, you’ll see almost every post about it get removed. Only the special chosen post gets to stay up, and it’s never the first one. I can’t help wondering if it’s a karma grab.

NMSCoordinatesExchange has some annoying rules, too. If you post a gallery of finds it can get removed for not being split into multiple posts. If I post a gallery, it’s because I don’t have the time or inclination to spam the sub with dozens of related items. Would they rather nobody sees them at all? Seems like a poorly considered rule for a place that’s supposed to encourage sharing of content.

Or Bluefin, depending on desktop preference. I’ve been using both and can recommend either.

You would think so, but it won’t let your companions lay more eggs when you’re at the limit. This is separate to the companion slot limit. I assume it doesn’t let you redeem eggs when you’re at the limit either.

If I had to guess, eggs require more data than a typical inventory item, due to the complexities of creatures. They’re probably implemented differently with some hacks to make it work, and limiting numbers is the simplest way to avoid complications.

There’s a hard limit on how many eggs you can have in one save. They probably restricted transfer for eggs from expeditions to avoid going over this limit.

It would be worth raising anyway, as they may able to allow the transfer but not allow collecting them in the main save until you make room. Or allow transfer when the main save is below the limit.
