Due to the votes here I was thinking of revising it a bit to do a similar format to how c/programming is handled since theres a bunch of votes for both options.
So c/gamedev exists as a collector community for all gamedev content and theres the subcommunities for the different kinds of content.
This still gives a central location but gives granularity for those that want that
Keep all content in this community

Tabletop games are fine to post, else we would be something like video game development as opposed to game development
Always nice to see some tabletop games getting made
seems like its working on my pc but not my phone so might be something to do with OS
Looks like steam is becoming even larger of a storefront with activision blizzard not making their games exclusive to battle.net anymore. On one hand happy for less exclusivity between game storefronts but on the other hand steam becomes even more dominant over everyone else
Communication about the jam with announcements about it and discussion between participants will be happening on the fediverse. Normally in jams you have people sharing wip stuff on discord and twitter while in this case well be aiming to get that all within the fediverse to encourage people to start using it more
We have a hashtag that people can use on mastodon to look at other things people are doing in the jam and theres communities here on lemmy to share your game
No usage of mastodon or lemmy required in the game (although you could do some references to them if you want). Just linked in terms of communication
Looks like a camelCase variable to me so its likely just a temporary word they replace with the actual bot name but something went wrong and it didn’t replace it properly leading to the temporary text showing instead
There could be some other reasons but the actual cause cant really be determined without looking at the source code
