I 100% agree. They use their companies to push or even ignore laws in the countries they want to operate. But the governments and journalists must leave first. You can’t expect regular people to leave for empty social media alternatives that they have to build from scratch, which is also easily corrupted by foreign propaganda and bots.
I agree, though I guess as long as there are more people to reach on twitter, politicians will switch reluctantly at best. So I think everyone - regardless of politician or citizen - who is willing to make the sacrifice of less content should do so.
