Fascism was pioneered by Italy, and in more recent history there are several rightwing dictatorships in Europe that existed since at least 10 years ago. Fascists came into power in the USA just this year. Several of the more prosperous European countries either already have a far right government (Italy) or have a very sizable far right opposition.
