In a surprise announcement, the Republican National Committee has revealed it is bankrupt. A spokesman for the party said they had plenty of money in their accounts last week, but today they just don’t know where the money has gone. But not everybody is going begging. Amnesty International, Greenpeace and the United Negro College Fund announced record earnings this week, due mostly to large, anonymous donations.

Stop posting US politics here. Why would anybody outside the US who comes here for “Technology” be interested in that?!

Just because the technology involves politics shouldn’t mean it can’t belong here also.  Why do they have to be mutually exclusive?  I’m not pushing my beliefs on anyone here.

If you read the article (which I can only assume you did), it goes into detail about a how even  hackers from Black Hat and DEFCON (two well known cybersecurity conventions) were donating to a cause they believe in.  It even goes on to talk about hacking voting machines.

      Seems like “technology” to me.

The majority of english-speaking Lemmy users are from the US. Sadly, they think that they are the onle ones. More importantly, they think that US politics is important to everyone outside of the US.

Unfortunately, unless it is a moderators’ rule, this just won’t happen.
