CNC cut from 12mm plywood. Maybe I should send a job application to IKEA?.
That isn’t nearly value-engineered enough for IKEA. Try again, using cardboard this time.
(No offense meant to IKEA, BTW; in fact I’m sitting at a cardboard IKEA desk as I type this.)
My first thought from the thumbnail was a kids play station. I suppose that’s exactly what it is though.
This looks fantastic!
Is the notch at the back to allow it to fit under something?
It’s mostly for aesthetics and proper air flow. Each level is just as deep as the device’s footprint demands and the shape of the sides simply follows that.
Beautiful
Pretty cool and neat. I would do a can paint job.
Is this two oscilloscopes and a power supply?
Is that a Riden 60XY clone at the bottom?
Afaik not a clone, because Joy-It/Conrad is the German reseller for Riden.
Ah okay, are you running the firmware from I believe UniSoft from the EEVBlog? I can only recommend it. I also did the WiFi module for better wireless performance etc. but I did not like the refresh rate and stability, so sick to the terrible form factor micro-USB.
What are people doing with their lab PSU that they need WiFi? For me it always was just an upgrade over fiddling with battery packs…
Logging data and visualization is the big one, but automation is also nice to have. Like cycling batteries can be easily automated that way.
Just to power something there is obviously no need.
