”Free users can make 2 scans per day” (from the description in the app store)
Nah, I’m not going to pay €4/month for this. But I’ll keep using PushToLeave to learn more about the companies behind the products I buy (and the ones I leave on the shelf.)
The NonUSA app is currently only available on Apple’s app store, which requires American software and hardware to use.
Wouldn‘t the same go for the only other mobile OS, Android? The software I mean. I am not sure where they‘re going with this.
Ubuntu Touch is a thing btw, if one is serious about supporting an European ecosystem.
You can buy an American Android phone, then degoogle it, cutting Google’s gain from you using the phone substantially.
There’s no way whatsoever to deapple an iPhone.
I am not why you would only offer an App for Apple, when nowadays things like Flutter or even Kivy exist.
They should create a Web page, that way everyone would have access to the information. I would donate to maintain it.
Currently the App only shows 3 reviews in the store by the way. At least from where I am looking it up. I suppose it doesn‘t take much to dominate Danish download charts. I‘m sure web alternatives exist that can at least help you even if they don‘t support every feature the app supposedly does.
I was very interested in this app, but unfortunately it’s only available for iOS. So partially pointless when it comes to boycotting USA.
In addition, as some other commenters pointed out, it apparently only allows 2 scans a day for free. Very American if you ask me.
And when the European finally closed his YouTube account, he wept, for there were no more US products left to boycott
Wept with tears of joy.
I hope that they will launch it to F-Droid too soon.
I check isitamerican [dot] eu, from the browser.
