Removed Comment "Remember any Linux desktop distro that targets the end user? Pretty sure it's dead"
Get over yourselves, Linux desktop will never succeed unless there's professional and proprietary software that people really need to be productive / make money available for it. I'm talking about Adobe, MS Office, Autodesk and all the specific stuff that forces people into using Windows. Don't believe me? Look at the gaming space, it only became marginally relevant once Steam decided to start porting all their proprietary games (software) to Linux. by @TCB13@lemmy.world reason: trolling, lemmy.ml rule 2

Removed Comment GNOME is so fucking cringe lol. I open a terminal, Firefox, gedit, emacs, and KATE. If I maximize these windows and then want to close or minimize them all the controls are unaligned thanks to these insane GNOME losers. There's no window list so switching windows is adding minutes per day of useless work to whatever you're doing. It's literally the worst UI in the world. I'd rather use Windows 3.1, at least that shit didn't have CSDs. by @hackerwacker@lemmy.ml reason: lemmy.ml rules 1 and 2

Removed Comment Elementary OS. They're trying to make a Mac clone but if you say so they get pissed off. Clearly in denial.
They charge for apps which was never the case in Linux before. Most of the apps are exclusive to elementary, which again is not the Linux way.
Many of the apps are designed exclusively for elementary. So they are bringing the Apple walled garden into Linux. We don't that sh1t here. There a reason many of us hate Apple and we don't need some moron who isn't even sure what gender he is, brining that crap here.
Go use Apple if you want no freedom but don't try make Linux into Apple. by danielfgom reason: Server rule violation - Transphobia
