This one always impressed me, not only the understanding of how to work the locking mechanism, but cause-effect understanding of unlocking the stalls and planning ahead and executing the plan to achieve a goal.

So… just like… KDE?
Not that it is designed for it but it is a similar workflow and should be familiar to Windows users

You’ve obviously never tried them and are just talking out of your ass

I wouldn’t be as sure about that as you are

We already live in a world with existing, functional mind-reading devices. There is even a device designed to help people that are suffering from ALS communicate by reading their thoughts, and has a privacy feature where the user can activate and deactivate the device by thinking a password in their mind, in order to allow them to still have private thoughts.

Phones are not fMRIs though.

It sounds like they’re specifically talking about a phone, making reference to app permissions and TikTok.

WiFi can also do pretty precise location. Bluetooth/BLE even more precise (inches or less)

That’s already the original use case. Cardiac signature biometrics, can install in a doorway and do identity verification and track/monitor every individual that passes through the threshold

3 letter agencies have already been using this for cardiac signature identity verification and tracking for a long while
Don’t forget pedophilia

Nah, my old mobile phone is in a drawer in my basement.
Yeah I mean the tax payers have literally already paid for all of both SpaceX and Starlink. The public paid for it, the public should own it.

Just uninstall and stop engaging with Duolingo marketing.
Sometimes, the best way to make noise is to disappear first.
Great advice! I’ll do just that. Uninstalled.

Yup, it’s literally a bullshit machine.

I always put /home on a different drive than /
https://kfocus.org/spec/spec-ir16.html this is an absolute gem, built just for linux. It comes with KUbuntu preinstalled but can be wiped and replaced with any flavor of linux, and all of the hardware and laptop functionality is fully supported by linux.
Framework is way overhyped and even more overpriced. Its “upgradeability” is totally unrealistic at best, scam at worst. Sure you can pop in a new USB port or display output, but that’s about it before you’re replacing the entire guts to upgrade it and keeping just the worn out case and screen…? Gee sounds great… Repairability is a real point for framework though. Can you still not update the BIOS on linux? Its linux support is historically not great but may have improved
I don’t want any proprietary drivers
So then you don’t want any NVIDIA.
The AMD open source Linux driver performs better than their Windows driver. And there is no proprietary AMD Linux driver, the official AMD driver for Linux is open source.

Hawley’s statement called DeepSeek “a data-harvesting, low-cost AI model that sparked international concern and sent American technology stocks plummeting.”
data-harvesting
???
It runs offline… using open-source software that provably does not collect or transmit any data…
It is low-cost and out-competes American technology, though, true
Did they accidentally turn off their DoS for sites that don’t pay for Cloudflare?
