My checklist of features is always complete with a ~200 USD offer:

This title really bait me.
Uninstall Arch and install Linux Mint. Give yourself that gift. It’d still be easier than installing Arch Linux, and you’ll be way more comfortable most of the time in the long term. It’s not that you can’t use Arch, but their approach is not beginner-friendly.

Way easier to arrr!

Well, I love my good old Redmi Note 4 Pro (mido) running postmarketOS. Granted, it’s not a daily driver. But yeah, I’m excited enough to install Plasma OS.
There should be no secrets between (fascist state) lovers.
It’s not something you can agree or not, it’s a fact!

I was thinking about changing my Roku TV anyway. “Dumb” TVs are the future for me.
I guessed it was the classic “first one comes free, the next one we’ll see”. They are offering AI for free to make people dependent on the technology, once people can’t live without their AI, then corporations will start profiting from subscriptions.

Don’t worry, “the mushroom will eat the fungus”. It may be the other way around, but whatever.

Chrome itself is rated 4.1 in Play Store, while Firefox is rated 4.6. Google Chrome dominance, at this point, is a consequence of monopolistic practices and not user preference. They are now using their predominant position in the browser market to apply ad technologies that their users rightly didn’t ask for, and they don’t like it.

Of course there’s only a small percent of Among Us players that will try to kill a CEO. Be grateful.
Yeah. I think that’s the appeal. You could just shout things and hope others would follow until a part of the auditorium would turn their heads to you. So, if someone shouted “it’s an Earthquake!”, and people nearby felt it and tweeted, implying it was true, everyone in the auditorium would know about it. Of course, other types of messages were send in Twitter, but most importantly, actors and robots started to use Twitter to plainly shout lies and noise.

Americans are weird. Four years ago, Trump lost the election and he was dumped from Twitter in a heartbeat. Enters Musk and buys Twitter, baptizes it as X. Somehow, Musk achieved the unachievable. No, he didn’t make Twitter profitable, he makes it even shittier. Trump gets back to X. Presidential elections happen. Trump wins in a landslide. Bluesky arises. Now Democrats have their own social media club and Republicans, conservative minds, stay in X. Really, if the USA won’t change their electoral system it could separate into two or three different countries at this point.
Except, for now, they will unite against Mexico, Iran and China.

I hope some of them come to the Fediverse. It’s nice that only the curious ones will come.

You should also take into account the animosity against lemmy.ml in general from some instances and communities. Something to do with the moderation here or something else.
I’m running the KDE spin, because, well, just because. It was a bit strange to think about it, like “Nautilus? I’m not having that problem. Wait a minute”. This year I stopped using GNOME, nothing specific about it, just wanted to try Plasma. Wanted to experience the old convenience of Linux to just switch to another DE with a couple of commands.

I upgraded yesterday, thinking I may have not enough time to do it the rest of the year. It already works great in my AMD Ideapad.
It’s not needed. Nobody is looking for AI powered shit and they will feel it in their numbers. Why invest the pennies Mozilla can invest in a technology that big monsters are developing with billions and billions of dollars and natural resources? It’s not even reasonable, like a Pocket 2.0.
