“A VM makes an OS believe that it has the machine to itself; a container makes a process believe that it has the OS to itself.”
This would be somewhere between that, where each container could believe it has the OS to itself, but with different kernels.

6·3 months agoNot that I think that their relationships were healthy, but dude, c/selfhosted. Needing a subscription for something you plan to interface with daily forever is a recipe for financial burden. Giving control and maintenance of that software to another entity is a recipe for letdown.

2·5 months agoThis really made me want to find a BASIC emulator and a collection of old programs and introduce them to my kids. Infeelnlike LUA is the modern BASIC. I just picked up Replicube and plan to use it to introduce my daughter to LUA.
