This seems fine, so long as the journos remember how to pull up stakes once a platform decays. I hope they learn a lesson about the importance of owning your own audience, follower lists, etc.

If you go that account and search for a hashtag (i.e., #texas) you’ll get a lot of active and high-quality local accounts to follow.

Agree with this, a headphone jack is occasionally very useful, especially when traveling. I had a Google Pixel without a headphone jack and I was surprised how much I missed it, I got an adapter just to restore that functionality.
