Lol but they are fine with reminding me constantly of the one time I bought syringes for “a friend” with addiction years ago.
Edit: to be clear I don’t use Amazon anymore as of last year and this is another good reason why.
I only use their Drive, I need a privacy focused alternative with a browser version in case I can’t convince my family to download an app, any recommendations?
I don’t know, i was thinking about it and it seems like they would love it if we would just unplug like that, because then we couldn’t reach the majority of people because they’re only using those platforms. I fucking hate psyop bullshit for making me have to question every single fucking thought like that.

2·1 year agoSo if I download this and somehow there is no longer a way to access the model online this will still work? I’m just a bit confused because I read a couple things that made it seem like even though the model is running locally it still needs a connection for some reason, if that isn’t true I’m sorry for the dumb question.

5·1 year agoCan someone explain briefly what I need to download that might not be available if this comes to pass? Like I did some searching and I saw stuff about Ollama but it wasn’t completely clear if that would be affected by this.

3·2 years agoYou totally can. I don’t know exactly what the laws are because it’s intentionally not clear but it’s the same process as before, order from a diy website, it comes in the mail, make your stuff at home. I think the difference is that it’s harder for websites to get the license to sell it but there are still some sites out there.
That’s not the definition of insanity.
