The marketing had nothing to do with it not selling. Pick one up, yeah it’s thin but it’s also a bar of soap to hold. Plus a ton of deal breaking trade off like less battery life and poor camera system compared to the alternative iPhone 17s/Pros.
There are a few people that Apple would love to delete from the face of the planet.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who’s consistently divulging Apple’s plans, is one. TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is always sharing information based on his supply chain checks, is high up on the list, too.
Apple uses Gurman for controlled leaks to build hype. He hasn’t been sued yet.
But YouTuber Jon Prosser is public enemy number one that Apple is trying to truly silence. And for good reason: the man who Apple sued in July for leaking iOS 26 and Liquid Glass keeps spoiling Apple’s unreleased products with high-quality 3D renders in his videos
Now Prosser, Apple definitely doesn’t use him for leaks since he is being sued. He’s just an idiot.
We’re on an enterprise edition too and it so sanitized it’s almost nice. Still slow as crap compared to a linux distro on the same hardware.

I’ve lived through the cell phone invention, to flip phones, to smartphones. They were terrible back then and I doubt that’s changed now.
Now, I do understand the reason why you moved back to one. For me, I just got aggressive about notifications and turned off most of them. I stopped social media tied to friends and family and am selective about what I’m on and for how long. Takes more personal willpower (or whatever) but you do get used to it in the long run and feel better.
I don’t agree with the premise of this article. When hunting and gathering the default is, “oh look, berries I can eat on a bush, let’s pick them or there’s a deer nearby, let’s shoot it with my bow and arrow.”
These are just … choices. The only difference now is the amount of choice we have. It’s overwhelming so we go back to what we know to move forward. That’s just simply the human condition. Don’t think too much into this.

Ugh. No one in the mainstream understands WHAT LLMs are and do. They’re really just basic input output mechanisms. They don’t understand anything. Garbage in, garbage out as it were.
This is an interesting service. The problem I have is that I only check my feeds early in the morning and then late in the day. I don’t read them at all while at work. Weather is also on my watch face a I see it instantly. Love the service for people that it’s needs meet though.
