And here I was thinking these blow-and-go contraptions were self contained. I should have known better.

I purchased Ad Guard for my Android phone seven or eight years ago and it’s a game changer. I despise ads and it’s jarring to use someone else’s phone.

I just commented the same thing. I disabled what I didn’t want at startup and have had zero intrusive prompts from unnecessary Windows bloat.
I’m still holding out hope that Linux finally becomes a mainstream OS one day.

I installed Windows 11 with a local account, disabled trash like OneDrive and Copilot and haven’t had any problems with them coming back.
Any market share that Linux can claw away from Microslop is always a good thing.

Rock on, dude. I do almost all of my gaming from the couch so 1080p looks fine to me and my GPU doesn’t have to crank out 4K worth of pixels to drag down my FPS.

I used to. Then I moved to Kansas. No hills here!

I bought my 1080p LED backlit 60" Vizio panel back in early 2015 and it’s still going strong!
As an old ass gamer who is fond of Unreal Tournament, I sure hate what Epic has become.

I deleted my Facebook profile last year after 18 years and never looked back. It’s a totally different platform than what I signed up for almost two decades ago. Absolutely zero value for me now.
I’m so glad Valve is releasing a VR headset so I don’t need to have anything to do with a trash company like Meta.
At least your teacher will know why students submitted their assignments late.

We’re living in a Black Mirror episode.

Good old fashioned enshitification.

Back when we saw the death of the floppy disk, I knew optical media’s days were numbered. Twenty years ago we had no idea that everything was going to be “something as a service.” Enshitification hadn’t been invented yet.

Cave hermit here and I was delighted the first time I launched Quake 3 Arena on a linux distro. I’m wading deeper into the linux pool since Microsoft has lost their mind. Ads have no place in an operating system.
Gaming has tied me to Windows for decades, but thanks to companies like Valve and System 76 the long awaited shift may continue accelerating.
I’m glad to be here to see it.

Honestly, how much better can they get? I love to have the latest gadgets as much as the next guy, but I’ve got bills and shit too.
Still rocking my Pixel 4a.

You might say he took Adjit on it.
This is the way.
HTPC for life!
