Didn’t have any issues with my plex, must be an isolated issue.
Everyone keeps forgetting that we’re all just what monkeys evolved into…

Yeah, I member.

6700XT dual, it stays cool, runs 1440p ultra and older 4k (newer stuff with some FSR) and I got it for 507AUD 6-7months ago.

I’m waiting till I see a good price on a 5900x/5950x for the rig I recently built with 5800x, the 5800x rips though I will keep it and do another build with it.
I’m picturing in my mind, that they’ll add an overlay that takes up your whole screen on login after October '25 that’ll just say “Upgrade to Windows 11 now!” That you can’t close.
Lucky I already upgraded OS to not include any Micro$hit.
Wouldn’t be if they weren’t constantly trying to load hardware I own with unwanted ads, software and unnecessary shit nobody asked for.
Welcome to the good life, with the exception of VR and (rootkit) anticheat for multiplayer, it’s all smiles over here.
Hope Mint treats you as well as it’s treated me! (Even though most of my tinkering breaks stuff, reinstall incoming I suspect)
Yet another bullet dodged since my move to Linux, thank fuck. Fuck you cunts at Micro$hit.

I exceed the average human at idiocy.

The power of the sun, in the palm of my hand.

Maybe if everything wasn’t designed to be unrepairable and fragile as fuck this wouldn’t be an issue.

I also want the DOJ to peg Apple.

My thoughts also. Break. Them. Up.
Last time I booted into windows was to use VR (I haven’t yet managed to make it work on Linux mint), and that was 4 months ago.
Glad I switched tbh.

As someone who recently made the switch (without posting about it woohoo!), I’ve found more information across the clone posts than in any one thread, I second the megathread idea mentioned above.
I’ve made a few comments regarding distros/switching on many of the aforementioned posts and I would happily dig them up and repost them as a comment on a megathread, on the slim chance my experience helps smooth out the entry for others.
I’ve had a techy mate have issues installing mint, but I had no issues and have dailied it as an OS only reverting to windows in extreme cases.
If you’re not dual booting it’s simple as. My friend has had issues dual booting on the same drive, whereas I went one drive per OS and butter smooth. Nice to be able to recover one drive from another without external tools.
